What We Need
We are seeking a detail-obsessed, mortgage-savvy Quality Control Analyst to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience auditing brokered and non-delegated loan files, a strong command of TRID, RESPA, and HMDA compliance requirements, and the ability to deliver clear, professional feedback in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires someone who takes quality personally and can operate with a high degree of independence in a fully remote setting.
What You'll Do
• Conduct pre- and post-closing QC audits on brokered and non-delegated loan files for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
• Review loan files against TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and applicable investor and lender guidelines
• Audit pipelines to evaluate adherence to UMortgage file quality expectations
• Document audit findings clearly and deliver structured feedback
• Identify patterns and trends in errors or deficiencies and escalate systemic issues appropriately
• Maintain accurate audit logs and QC tracking reports
• Partner with operations leadership to support quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current on guideline changes, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
• Assist in the development and refinement of QC checklists, policies, and procedures
Requirements:What You Need
• Minimum 3 years of mortgage or real estate industry experience with direct exposure to loan processing, underwriting, or quality control
• Strong working knowledge of wholesale lender portals and lender guidelines
• Hands-on experience with a Loan Origination System (LOS); ARIVE experience a plus
• Solid understanding of TRID, RESPA, and HMDA compliance fundamentals
• Experience reviewing brokered loan files preferred
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies quickly and accurately
• Strong written communication skills — able to deliver feedback that is clear, fair, and actionable
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Self-directed and accountable — this is a remote role requiring strong time management and minimal oversight
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available now or in the future
• Must not reside in, or plan to reside in, the state of California
• Must currently work in the mortgage or real estate industry
