This role offers the opportunity to shape a mission-critical payroll product that powers the financial backbone of a rapidly growing agricultural workforce platform. You will lead strategy and execution for payroll capabilities that ensure accurate pay calculations, compliance, deductions, and reporting across complex, real-world farming operations. Working at the intersection of product, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams, you will help translate highly complex payroll and regulatory requirements into scalable software solutions. Your work will directly improve the livelihoods of agricultural workers while increasing efficiency and trust for employers. This is a high-impact role where product decisions meaningfully shape both business outcomes and end-user experience.
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key payroll capabilities, ensuring alignment with company-level business objectives such as growth, adoption, and operational efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end product development efforts from discovery to launch, translating complex payroll workflows and ambiguous needs into clear, executable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, payroll operations, implementations, support, and revenue teams to build scalable and compliant payroll systems.
- Conduct in-depth customer research and leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to identify pain points, edge cases, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement of payroll accuracy, compliance, reporting, and operational workflows through iterative product delivery.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and ensure cohesive execution across multiple dependencies and priorities.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years focused on payroll products or closely related payroll/HR/workforce systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll workflows, including calculations, deductions, compliance requirements, and operational processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous problem spaces and convert them into structured product plans and deliverables.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments and building strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer empathy with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility through direct user engagement.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and driving product impact.
- Highly analytical and data-driven mindset, combined with strong communication and prioritization skills.
