IT Project Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Project Manager in the United States.

This role focuses on delivering complex, multi-site IT infrastructure projects within a fast-paced financial services environment. You will oversee end-to-end execution of technology deployments across banking centers, including network installations, cabling, Cisco voice systems, and related infrastructure upgrades. Acting as the central coordination point between vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and financial objectives. The position requires strong organizational discipline, technical understanding of network environments, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. You will also play a key role in budgeting, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional coordination with teams such as Real Estate and Security. This is a highly operational, client-facing project management role where precision, communication, and adaptability are essential.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure and banking technology projects, ensuring successful execution from planning through deployment. Your role combines project leadership, vendor coordination, and technical oversight.

  • Manage IT infrastructure projects including banking center builds, relocations, reconfigurations, and decommissions
  • Oversee cabling, network equipment installations, Cisco phone systems, and related technologies
  • Coordinate and manage vendors, including quoting, proposal review, pricing negotiations, and performance tracking
  • Ensure project budgets, revenue, and cost targets are met while maintaining required margins
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Real Estate, Security, and Operations to align requirements and timelines
  • Participate in project meetings and ensure clear communication across all workstreams
  • Drive projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring successful and timely deployment
Requirements

This role requires experience in IT project management with a strong focus on network infrastructure and vendor coordination. You should be highly organized, technically fluent, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-moving environments.

  • 2–4 years of IT Project Management experience, ideally in network or infrastructure projects
  • 2–4 years of experience managing external vendors and service providers
  • Background in IT service delivery, networking, or related technical environments
  • Experience preparing labor and material quotes and managing project budgets
  • Understanding of network components, connectivity, and IT infrastructure concepts
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to translate technical details clearly
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when project demands require
