About This Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Senior Manager – Site Reliability Engineering in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of advanced cloud engineering, operational excellence, and client-facing technical leadership. You will drive the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical systems across complex enterprise environments. Acting as both a hands-on engineer and a people leader, you will spend significant time building automation, improving infrastructure, and resolving high-impact technical challenges. At the same time, you will guide and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring consistent delivery quality and alignment with compliance and SLA requirements. This is a highly collaborative environment where consulting, engineering, and architecture teams work together to solve large-scale cloud and reliability challenges. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, regulated, and high-availability systems environments.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure while remaining deeply hands-on with engineering tasks such as automation, deployment, and tooling development.
- Oversee day-to-day SRE operations, including SLA monitoring, incident response, escalation management, and resolution of complex technical issues impacting client systems.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers, driving performance, career development, quality standards, and alignment with operational objectives and best practices.
- Define and execute infrastructure-as-code strategies using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to improve system reliability, repeatability, and deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate with consulting, architecture, and security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, CIS, DISA STIG) and client-specific requirements.
- Lead technical planning, documentation, and reporting for managed services engagements, ensuring transparency of progress, risks, and delivery milestones.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing scalable engineering solutions across client environments.
- 9+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud architecture, and large-scale infrastructure design with strong exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Proven hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, alongside CI/CD and automation platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams (6–8+ members), including mentoring, performance management, and technical direction.
- Strong background in SRE practices, including SLA management, incident response, monitoring, and high-availability system operations.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, with knowledge of security frameworks such as FedRAMP, CIS Benchmarks, or DISA STIG.
- Ability to operate in client-facing consulting environments, translating technical complexity into clear recommendations and trusted advisory guidance.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) required; additional security certifications such as CISSP are highly valued.
- Competitive salary range of $94,000 – $163,000 annually with potential eligibility for incentives and recognition programs
- Flexible work model with remote and hybrid options depending on role requirements
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
- Paid parental leave and generous flexible time off policies
- Certification, training, and professional development reimbursement programs
- Mental health and wellness support, including digital wellbeing resources
- 401(k) retirement plan and additional financial wellbeing benefits
- Opportunities to participate in employee resource groups and community initiatives
