Maintenance Scheduler at McConway and Torley LLC – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

McConway & Torley is currently searching for a Maintenance Scheduling Clerk. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance work orders, ensuring timely preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This position serves as a critical liaison between the maintenance team, operations, and other departments to help optimize maintenance productivity and minimize equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks based on priority, technician availability, and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, service requests, parts usage, and labor hours in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to assign daily tasks and update schedules accordingly.
- Monitor and track work order completion and follow up on delayed or incomplete tasks.
- Assist with procurement of maintenance supplies and parts when necessary.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, backlog, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal departments regarding maintenance needs and schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance, administrative, or scheduling role.
- Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP, MP2, Maximo) strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance terminology.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
