Command Center II – 1st Shift at Ahead LLC – New Bedford, Massachusetts

JOB SUMMARY:
The level 2 Command Center person is a Material Handler/Consolidator that is responsible for collecting boxes from the Production floor and routing them to other areas/departments. Using a computer for tracking purposes, using an RF device, organizes boxes/orders on the consolidation shelves and pulls completed orders from the consolidation shelves to the Shipping floor.

COMPENSATION: The hourly pay range reflects the actual compensation that Ahead, LLC; the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of hire. The final offer will be determined by a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.

• $15.00 - 18.00 per hour

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collecting boxes from the production floor.
• Ensure orders match production sheets.
• Tracking orders in the OLO computer software.
• Routing orders to the correct departments.
• Using an RF devise to scan orders into locations in the consolidation department.
• Keep consolidation area clean and organized.
• Pull reports of ready work for the shipping floor.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must have own transportation.
• Must be able to read and speak English language.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to talk and hear.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently walk and move about the facility.
• Ability to use hands to handle or touch.
• Ability to use fingers to pinch or grasp.
• Ability to reach above shoulders.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Exposure to moderate noise level.
• Exposure to hot, humid outdoor weather conditions during the summer months.
• Exposure to cold outdoor weather conditions during the winter months.
• Work near moving mechanical parts.

VISION REQUIREMENT:

• Close and distance vision.
• Color vision.
• Peripheral vision.
• Ability to adjust focus.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Closed toe footwear is required when entering the Production Floor.

SCHEDULE:

• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7am – noon) as required.
