About This Position
About the Role
Overall responsibilities include screening, diagnosis, treatment and guidance under the Children & Family Treatment and Support Services Guidelines. These services will enable a greater focus on prevention and early intervention by providing a greater array of available services. The level of service the CFTSS OLP Provider will provide will be dependent upon the ability and criteria needed to provide the service.
What You’ll Do
- Complete Licensed Evaluations (Assessments) to assess the child/youth’s development, identify behavioral strengths and weaknesses, determine medical necessity to provide/continue services and identify other potential services needed.
- Receive referrals and initiate intake process for youth in foster care.
- Provide trauma informed, evidence-based individual and group therapy for youths entering pre-placement sites.
- Provide Crisis Intervention Activities for child/youth experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
- Develop Treatment Plans describing the child/youth’s conditions, detailing the scope of services to be provided, expected outcomes, frequency, and duration of treatment.
- Prepare appropriate and timely written documentation of all clinical services delivered in the Electronic Health Record.
- Facilitate team meetings and participate in meetings to discuss the program's needs
- Train other staff in clinically relevant topics and help to create and foster therapeutic milieus
Your Qualifications
- Master’s degree from accredited program, in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related area required.
- Must have an active Clinical License (LMSW, LMFC, LCAT, LMHC) or Limited Permit with plans to take the clinical licensing exam
- Training and at least 1 year of experience in providing therapy/treatment services for at risk youth and families.
- Bilingual/Spanish Preferred
- Computer Proficiency, excellent writing skills to provide accurate and detailed notes

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. You must be available for flexible hours including evenings and possible weekends, shift hours vary depending on the needs of the child and family. Work hours options are 11pm-7pm or 12-8pm. This position is based at designated Rising Ground locations but will require travel to other programs and office locations as well as travelling offsite for meetings as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.
- Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
