Role Brief:

A hands-on engineer responsible for keeping our eVTOL ground-support charging systems (DC cabinets, charging dispensers, coolant/chiller systems, PCA units, power distribution system and grid/microgrid system) operational, safe, and reliable, while building internal capability to reduce OEM and contractor dependence.

Key Duties:

• Inspect GSE installations and oversee commissioning activities to ensure correct setup and safe operation.
• Support design validation reviews and installation inspections for vertiport MEP systems from an operability, safety, and maintainability perspective, ensuring installations are fit for live operations.
• Execute GSE operational training, safety practices, and emergency readiness for the ops team.
• Implement and oversee routine GSE inspections, upkeep, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose downtime issues, perform quick fixes, and escalate to OEMs.
• nternalise servicing and repair tasks to minimise reliance on OEM support and reduce operational downtime caused by long OEM SLA lead times.
• Build internal repair capability with the long-term aim of becoming an OEM-recognised regional GSE service partner.
• Maintain clear documentation of faults, fixes, and recurring issues to improve reliability and inform OEM discussions.
• Extend workstream into general MEP systems to reduce scope and cost of external MEP contractors.
• Prepare weekly reports of GSE utilisation and downtime summary, time-to-repair and SLA performance tracking, inspection and maintenance reports, and forward plan for upcoming inspections, servicing, and parts needs.

Candidate Background:

• Strong MEP engineering background with hands-on experience in electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty MEP equipment.
• Comfortable working in operational environments with live equipment.
• Able to build processes, documentation, and internal capability from the ground up.
• Dubai site-based role with requirement to travel to regional and international vertiport locations.
