Physical Requirements
Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods including data entry; repetitive motions, and occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10 lbs
Shift
Week 1: Sunday 6:45am-7:15pm and Wednesday 6:45pm-7:15am
Week 2: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6:45am-7:15pm
Biweekly schedule pattern/swing shift: Week one you would work Sunday day shift and Wednesday night shift. Week two you would work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday day shift.

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing patient arrivals patient registration resolution of patient complaints collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors collection of patient-responsibility payments at time of service (copays, co-insurance, self-pay estimates) maintain HIPAA compliant and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess patient registration and health insurance knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; be proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); have solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills; and have a high level of respect for confidentiality.

Preferred Education/Experience
Associate degree and at least four years of healthcare customer service experience preferred; previous experience working with patient registration highly preferred
