The OpportunityThe Sales Director of Enterprise Healthcare at SoundHound AI is critical in expanding our presence within the healthcare sector. The role drives revenue growth, market expansion, and the development of lasting partnerships with key healthcare clients. This position requires a strong balance of strategic planning and tactical execution. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Sales Director works cross-functionally to achieve company objectives and directly manage the sales process from lead generation through deal closure.
What You'll Do
  • Drive sales to meet and exceed revenue targets within the healthcare sector.
  • Act as a key contributor in high-impact deals, managing relationships with key healthcare accounts and stakeholders.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to healthcare executives, demonstrating SoundHound’s value in patient engagement, virtual care, and operational efficiency.
  • Execute a "land and expand" strategy to grow SoundHound’s footprint within health systems, providers, and digital health innovators.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to shape go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with the needs and trends of the healthcare market.
  • Build, manage, qualify, and close deals within a rolling 12-month sales pipeline.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate contract vehicles to penetrate specific clients.
  • Engage cross-functional SoundHound resources (Engineering, Marketing, Proposal Development, Finance) at the right stages of the sales cycle.
  • Utilize data and analytics to enhance sales strategy and support proactive decision-making.
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to create and execute account growth strategies that increase customer lifetime value.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Operations, to ensure alignment on messaging, pricing, and business models.
  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics to drive SoundHound’s growth and competitive positioning.
  • Take a leadership role in industry trade associations and attend relevant events.
  • Actively participate in the RFP process and demonstrate the ability to take on multiple roles.
  • Assist in contract negotiations.

What You'll Bring
  • At least 12 years of successful B2B SaaS sales experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on selling complex software to health systems and executives.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving sustained revenue growth.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline (20+ concurrent opportunities) and own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to presenting to C-level decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of current industry trends, specifically value-based care models, health systems operations, and digital health innovation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Contact Center tools and processes, including CCaaS platforms (e.g., Genesys, Five9, NICE).
  • Familiarity with autonomic, cognitive, and analytic solutions that impact healthcare operations.
  • Highly skilled at listening to client discussions, identifying pain points, and crafting tailored solutions that align with their business priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and seamlessly in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet business needs.

Workplace & Compensation
This USA-based position is available for remote work in the Pacific or Central timezone(s). Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage in-person cross-team collaboration.
The estimated salary for this position is $145,000 - $185,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
