JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Performs clinical and professional duties under the guidance of fully qualified and identified medical staff. Works as a member of the care delivery team to deliver quality and cost effective medical care while gaining skill and knowledge necessary to become a fully licensed, board eligible physician.

The Graduate Medical Education programs are designed to create a legacy of quality physicians and lifelong learners through a rigorous academic program integrated with clinical practice. The aims of these educational experiences are to enhance and expand medical knowledge, promote best practices in health care, develop clinical skills associated with improving the delivery and quality of health care services, and collaborate with other academic institutions to provide superior training for resident physicians.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
One (1) of the following required:
-
Graduation from a medical school in the United States accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
-
Graduation from a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States, accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
-
Graduation from a medical school outside of the United States that is accredited by a country and agency which has comparable processes, curriculum and educational content as outlined and defined by the LCME and AOA and is recognized as having these standards by the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) and meets one (1) of the following additional qualifications:

Holds a currently-valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates prior to appointment.

Holds a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a United States licensing jurisdiction in his or her current ACGME specialty/subspecialty program.

Has graduated from a medical school outside the United States and has completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school.

Oregon Board of Medicine licensure required.

Healthcare Provider ACLS/BLS required.
