Position Summary:
The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidatesfor temporary, part-time faculty to teach 1000and 2000 level Physical Education courses. This will bea recruitment for spring 2026 semester.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, TheUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of TheUniversity of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the regionand is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis onteaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs,technical vocational programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit HighSchool/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty andstaff serve a student body of over 2,000 students per semester. UNM has earnedthe platinum-level distinction from FamilyFriendlyNM.org for its workplacepolicies.

• Technical certification dependent on the instructional specialty (AFAA, ACE, NETA, NASM, etc.)
• At least one year of teaching experience. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.

PreferredQualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Educationor directly-related field
• First Aid and CPR Instructor's Certificate
• If course is online or hybrid, appropriate certification/training to teachonline is required
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich andvaried cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission toserve local and global communities.
