General Summary:
The Parent Instructor provides professional parent instruction and delivery of information to families implementing the required curriculum to parents and children, prenatal to three years old.

The Parent Instructor provides professional parent instruction and delivery of information to families implementing the required curriculum to parents and children, prenatal to three years old.
Position Purpose:
- Provide professional parent instruction and delivery of information to families implementing approved curriculum to parents and children.
- Conduct home visits implementing interactive individualized family learning activities and projects to expand child development knowledge, demonstrate meaningful play/learning activities for children, increase parent/guardian/child bonding, positive discipline and communication.
- Recruit new families for the program
- Access family needs and provide developmentally appropriate information, guidance and support to parents.
- Provide the required number of personal home visits to families and children.
- Communicates regularly with parents and program's case manager regarding the development, educational concerns or referrals required for their children and their families.
- Facilitate play groups, parent group meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development or a related field required, unless actively enrolled in Bachelor's degree program.
- Two years of early childhood experience.
- Experience working with low-income families and conducting home visit.
- Knowledge of computer operations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide presentation and information to large groups of individuals.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Excellent ability to work with others across disciplines.
- Understanding and sensitivity to women who pregnant or post-partum.
