About This Position

This position has a $16.00 / hour base wage, paid days off, holiday pay, uniform cleaning, benefits, 401k, and a free meal per shift. This applies to all full-time employees working 35 hours a week. There is a $250 sign-on bonus. For shifts that go past 6:00PM, there is an evening pay differential.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring that guests are cordially attended to, from the time they enter our dining rooms and facilities to the time they leave and performing routine duties necessary to provide a clean and well-stocked dining room during meal periods in accordance with Parkhurst standards and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Acknowledge the presence of our guests IMMEDIATELY with a friendly greeting.
  • Learn menu and daily specials, keeping in close communication with management.
  • Handle all POS transactions ethically and according to company policies, including all cash, meal plan or swipe, and CaterTrax orders.
  • Accurately make change for all cash-paying guests, maintain proper counts of all transactions, maintain accurate balance in cash drawer at all times, and reconcile cash drawer after every meal.
  • Post all necessary signage and merchandise service areas. Price and stock all grab and go items.
  • Bus tables and help maintain cleanliness.
  • Restock/organize areas surrounding the check-out counters. Restock beverages, cereal dispensers, and other items as needed, which may include refilling of milk dispensers.
  • Make sure enough cups and glasses are present and remove empty glass racks. Empty glass racks must be taken to dish room.
  • Ensure soda machines are iced down before and after each service period. Take off and soak the soda caps in hot water overnight.
  • Prepare service line for operation as instructed by Executive Chef and/or Management. The line is always to be garnished properly.
  • Serve our guests in a friendly, professional manner. Practice portion control guidelines continually.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to maintain enough food. Check quality of food items, making sure they meet standards of taste, appearance, and correct temperatures. Report any substandard quality to the Executive Chef and/or Management.
  • Follow production sheets to establish proper serving utensils.
  • Follow cleaning schedule as provided by management, using “clean as you go” techniques.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
  • Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
  • Follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards.
  • Assist fellow team members at every opportunity.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
