About the Role:

We are looking for energetic, creative, and dedicated RBTs to work one-on-one with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism in schools in and around the Plainfield, IN area. As an RBT, your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You will play a crucial role in helping clients develop and improve their social, communication, and behavioral skills. By implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies, you will contribute to the overall well-being and progress of individuals with ASD. Your work will have a direct impact on the lives of your clients and their families, as you help them navigate the challenges associated with ASD and promote their independence and inclusion in society.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active RBT Certification through the BACB
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Experience working as an ABA Therapist or in a similar role
• High school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years of age (per BACB licensure requirements)
• Clear background check
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (i.e. kneeling, sitting – in both a chair and on the floor, squatting, standing, etc.) for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
• At least one year working as an RBT in a school setting
• CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities:

• Supporting classroom teachers in providing a safe, organized environment for effective learning to occur
• Teaching expressive and receptive communication skills through the use of applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior techniques as outlined in the client's daily lesson plan
• Teaching of daily living skills such as dressing, toileting, hand washing, toothbrushing, feeding, and other hygiene related tasks
• Entering data on teaching trials and behavior goals into Catalyst, an iPad program
• Following individualized behavior plans written by the client's Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and IEPs written by the child's interdisciplinary team
• Communicating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and caregivers through objective, data driven notes
• Upholding the Registered Behavior Technician Ethics Code
