***Applicants must be available to work on-site Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 8:30am-5:30pm from our Plano, TX HQ. In addition, we welcome Juniors, Seniors, and recent graduates to apply. ***


What this Position Does: The Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting departments with property accounting and corporate accounting.


The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing:

  • Assist with the monthly end close and draws in congruence with the accounting department.
  • Support general ledger maintenance tasks such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, deposit accounting, and tenant billing.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements for multifamily properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.


Qualifications Involved with the Position: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


What Education and/or Experience You Will Bring to the Table: Must be Junior, Senior, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Accounting.


Communication Skills Involved with the Position: Must have strong verbal and written skills; must be able to communicate with various departments.


Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table: Must be able to problem-solve; must be able to understand basics of accounting/finance; must be open to learning and absorbing new information.
