Statement of Purpose:

To offer a training program for technologists registered in Radiology to be able to expand their knowledge and advance into the field of Cat Scan. Under the direction of a Registered CT Technologist and Radiologist, the CT Technologist trainee will learn to perform diagnostic CT examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by an attending physician. They will also learn to competently operate all imaging equipment with the highest regard for patient/staff safety.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associates degree or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology is required.

Must maintain minimum Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) as required by State and ARRT guidelines.

Must successfully complete Cat Scan didactic training within 6 months of hire.

Certification/License:

Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) required

American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT registered) required

Current CPR/BCLS skills

Experience: 1-2 years of radiologic technology experience preferred
