Lead Event Chef - Puff N Stuff at Puff N Stuff Catering – Tampa, Florida

Title: Lead Event Chef (part-time, on-call, flexible scheduling)

Puff 'n Stuff is looking for talented, organized chefs to lead our back of house teams at catered events. We offer a flexible schedule based on your availability, which makes it really easy to work with us!

Basics

* Supervise on-site culinary team members, verify attendance, direct unloading and setup of culinary areas and work stations.

* Coach and encourage your team, giving feedback as you go.

* Lead your team to prepare the right amount of food at the right time to be served to guests.

* Make sure safe food handling procedures are followed during event

* Work with Event Supervisor to make sure everything you need for the event gets loaded on the truck and off loaded at the end of the night

* Drive to and from the event in the company truck with the Event Supervisor
Qualifications

* 2 years of catering, restaurant lead or banquet experience, preferably in high volume, upscale. Environment

* Excellent time management, detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

* Familiar with all cooking techniques including, but not limited to, grilling, roasting, and baking for fish, steak, poultry and pork.

* Familiar with batch, quantity cooking and proper heating, holding and plating techniques.

* Familiar with HACCP and health department guidelines

* Serve Safe certified

* Speak and write English fluently

* Clean driving record and ability to drive small box truck

* Must be okay working in a non-smoking environment
