About This Position
A Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of a customer; guiding potential customers through the purchase of food and food related products or services. Responsible for maintaining and expanding customer base, maximizing sales and profits, developing and maintaining contact and building lasting relationships with customers. Will plan and organize schedules to call prospective new accounts, keep records, will develop innovative and creative sales techniques. Give demonstrations and educate customers about products, manage credit term compliance; all other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
- High School or GED.
- 2 years of industry related experience or a degree from a culinary school.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Must be outgoing, energetic and confident, with good networking skills and ability to deal with a wide variety of customers.
