Manager Maintenance Job, Days Shift, Engineering

Community Healthcare System is hiring a Maintenance Manager to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The engineering department maintains the overall appearance and equipment of the Hospital while focusing on patient, visitor and staff safety.

Maintenance Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develops, evaluates and implements departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives and standards of work. Resolves problems requiring supervisory authority or complex technical knowledge.
• Develops Operating and Capital budgets and monitors and takes action to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Assists in planning and designing of remodeling or new construction projects with the Vice President of Engineering/Support Services.
• Initiates and oversees duties to Maintenance staff to maintain the inside and outside appearance and equipment of the hospital.
• Displays and provides through knowledge of adjusting, repairing or installing HVAC units, refrigeration units, auxiliary equipment, electrical, plumbing, remodeling projects with the Vice President of Engineering/Support Services.
• Reviews preventative maintenance inspections and documentation by Maintenance staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school graduate; AS or higher degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Allied Science preferred
• 5 years job related experience required
• Supervisory experience required
• Must be familiar with codes and standards related to healthcare facility equipment
