Reports to: Site Lead

FLSA: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Primary Work Location: Fort Novosel, AL

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electronic Technician Maintenance III provides technical support to multiple devices under the Warfighter Training & Readiness Solutions (WTRS) Contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• The Electronics Technician Maintenance III position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic equipment for UH-60M Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT), CH-47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator (TFPS), AH-64D Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT), UH-60M Cockpit Emergency Procedures Trainer (CEPT), AH-64D Modernized-Target Acquisition/Designation Sight (TADS) Selected Task Trainer-L13 (M-TSTT-L13), CH-47F Cockpit procedural Trainer (CPT), Flight Training Device (FTD), UH-60M COCKPIT ACADEMIC PROCEDURAL TOOL (CAPT), Universal Mission Simulator (UMS), 2 Seat Shadow,UH-60 A/L Black Hawk Flight Simulator Upgrade (ABHFS)

• Perform PMCS, troubleshoot, and isolate faults.

• Utilize spare/repair parts to address faults in accordance with technical guidelines.

• Research and select necessary repair parts.

• Enter work order data into the online management information system.

• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems beyond standard manuals.

• Supervise, provide direction to, and check lower-level technicians’ work.

• Ensure recording of all maintenance actions in the Management Information System (MIS).

• Manage site supply, warehousing, and storage to support maintenance and document parts usage.

• Ensure site employees complete contractual and company-required training timely.

• Participate in analysis, IPT meetings, transition meetings, support for fielding, post-fielding assessments, and life cycle planning.

• Provide technical support for VMware systems.

• Other duties may be assigned

• This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS Locations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology from an accredited university and 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology and 5 years of experience, Or 14+ Years of Experience in lieu of Degree

• Strong customer service skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges

• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGES

• Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stand for long periods of time.

• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

• Bend, squat, climb, and reach.

• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.

• May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.

• Experience utilizing test equipment to include: torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network cable crimping/testers and solder stations to support repairs

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
