The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in healthcare data systems and enterprise AI applications to lead architecture design and implementation for top-tier healthcare payer organizations.
In this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, translating complex payer requirements into scalable, secure, AI-enabled solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure deployments are technically sound, compliant, and outcome-driven.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role that bridges enterprise healthcare systems with modern AI infrastructure.
This is an on-site position based in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
Client Solution Architecture
- Lead technical discovery, architecture design, and integration strategy for new and existing payer customers
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable AI-enabled architectures for use cases such as claims adjudication, utilization management, clinical reviews, and risk adjustment
- Design end-to-end system integrations across enterprise healthcare environments
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical authority during pre-sales and post-sales engagements
- Develop solution blueprints and integration plans leveraging healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and EDI (837/835)
- Guide cross-functional teams through implementation, ensuring architectural integrity and long-term scalability
Product & Delivery Collaboration
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on customer requirements, technical constraints, and emerging industry trends
- Support Proof-of-Concept (POC) development and iterative deployment cycles
- Help define repeatable architectural patterns for enterprise healthcare deployments
Security & Compliance
- Ensure all solutions meet HIPAA and enterprise-grade security standards
- Contribute to best practices in governance, data security, and interoperability
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role within healthcare or healthtech
- Direct experience working with healthcare payers and core systems such as claims adjudication, utilization management, member engagement, or provider data platforms
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, EDI 837/835, FHIR, HL7)
- Experience designing APIs, integrations, and data pipelines in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred)
- Experience working with AI/ML platforms, including NLP, LLMs, or vector database systems
- Strong client-facing communication skills and executive presence
Nice to Have
- Experience with GenAI tools or agentic AI frameworks
- Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or LangChain
- Exposure to enterprise healthcare systems (Epic, TriZetto, Optum, etc.)
- Background in startup or enterprise SaaS environments

- Base salary range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
