Driver/Warehouse Associate at SOUTHERN MARINE SUPPLY INCORPORATED – Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Job Summary:

The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient delivery and pickup of products, accurate receiving and restocking, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment. Preferred qualifications include bilingual (Spanish) communication skills and forklift certification. The associate will also be responsible for company vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities:

· Safely deliver and pick up products, ensuring timely and careful handling.

· Verify all delivery and pickup documentation for accuracy.

· Receive purchase orders accurately into the system.

· Restock inventory with correct labeling for easy identification.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

· Participate in annual inventory and/or cycle counts.

· Prepare products for shipment, including labeling and packaging.

· Ensure outbound shipments meet quality and accuracy standards.

· Operate forklift and warehouse equipment to manage inventory.

· Conduct routine checks and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and company vehicles.

· Report any maintenance issues promptly.

• Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory systems and data entry

• Strong attention to detail and follow up

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Bilingual (Spanish) would be a plus

Experience & Education:

• Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications:

• Forklift certification preferred

• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting
