This is a full time, 40 hours/week, exempt position that will be working in our New Bedford, MA. location.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports staff with evidence-based practices and programming that reduce recidivism and encourage positive behavior change.
- Supervises administrative systems, contract compliance, reporting, and other data collection, plus ensures compliance with all standards, laws, and ordinances.
- Develops and maintains community, governmental, and other public and private resources and relationships related to particular program.
- Serves as primary liaison with contracting agency.
- Monitors and evaluates personnel training needs and develops, implements in-service training as needed, works in cooperation with all outside agencies.
- Recruits, assigns, and supervises program staff and develops volunteer resources.
- Handles budget preparation, monitoring and any required changes, plus handles petty cash, and ensures resident subsistence is collected and processed.
- Conducts resident disciplinary hearings and makes decision regarding the possibility of return to higher custody, or other decisions regarding individuals in program, in collaboration with contracting agency.
- Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Attends necessary trainings set forth by CRJ, Funders and other providers.
- Performs other job related projects and activities as requested or directed.
Job Qualifications:
- BS/BA from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Human Service, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Two years relevant work experience, and a minimum of two years in a supervisory position, preferably in a residential, correctional setting.
- Knowledge/experience with policies and procedures, local, state, and federal requirements of ADA, ACA accreditation, EEOC, and other laws and regulations applicable to the program
- Good judgment, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and ability to set limits with clear boundaries
- Ability to work as a team player.

Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is a unique, 145-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct care as well as research and consulting services within the areas of the Mental Health, Criminal Justice, and Public Policy fields. Our four service lines; Social Justice Services, Community Strategies, Behavioral Health, and the Crime and Justice Institute, are recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work.
- Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes.
- Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs.
- Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs.
- The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
