Job Description
MDLE is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, technology-focused Architect to become an integral component of our dynamic and growing team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Charlottesville office is comprised of architects and planners focused on growing our successful service in the federal marketplace for clients all over the world. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through all design phases and implementing projects in Revit. The Architect will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, codes, and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout the Design and Construction phases.

Job Description
MDLE is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, technology-focused Architect to become an integral component of our dynamic and growing team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Charlottesville office is comprised of architects and planners focused on growing our successful service in the federal marketplace for clients all over the world. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through all design phases and implementing projects in Revit. The Architect will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, codes, and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout the Design and Construction phases.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- As a Project Architect, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are vital to the completion of our projects. These include:
- Leading the development of design concepts and ensuring their execution throughout all project stages.
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive design solutions.
- Utilizing Revit to prepare and revise architectural plans and drawings.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Overseeing the quality of project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Participating in project meetings and presenting design proposals and project updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong skills in Revit
- Professional registration as an Architect is preferred
- Strong background in either military or community planning
- Have or be able to hold a DoD security clearance and a U.S. passport
- Ability to travel internationally
- Ability to lead a team on projects
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- This position is for someone living in Charlottesville, Virginia. Work is expected to be in-office.
- Will consider remote hiring for the right candidate but must live in the EST or CST time zone of the United States.
