ANALYSTTRAINEE (OPERATIONS& PROGRAM SUPPORT)

DEPARTMENT: Public Health & Safety

DIVISION: Public Health

SALARY: $40,480 – $54,325

SCHEDULE: The regular schedule for thisposition is Monday through Friday, full-time. However, as part of the Divisionof Public Health within the Department of Public Health and Safety, whichfunctions as an emergency response agency, the position may occasionallyrequire work outside of standard business hours in support of public healthemergencies, deliverables, or response activities. This title is represented bya collective bargaining unit, and all schedule practices are subject to theterms and conditions memorialized in the applicable union contract.

POSITIONOVERVIEW:

TheAnalyst Trainee supports the Division of Public Health by assisting withanalytical work, project coordination, data review, administrative research,and operational tasks. Under the direction of supervisory staff, this positionreceives on-the-job training in analytic practices, procedures, and reportingmethods. This role supports continuous improvement, workflow efficiencies, andevaluation of data and process outcomes to advance the County's public healthmission.

Thisopportunity is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strongcommunication skills, an interest in public health operations, and the desireto build experience in data analysis, regulatory interpretation, programevaluation, and project support within a government environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicantsmust meet one of the following:

  • Four (4)years of professional experience relevant to the position
  • Possessionof a Bachelor's degree
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assistwith collection, compilation, and review of data and other information neededto support projects and operational decisions.
  • Learn tointerpret laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and apply them tospecific assignments.
  • Preparedrafts of reports, charts, spreadsheets, graphs, and other supportingmaterials.
  • Conductresearch and participate in workflow reviews and operational assessments.
  • Assist inmonitoring documentation for compliance with state, local, or programrequirements.
  • Maintainfiles, records, and documentation in electronic and manual systems.
  • Performother related duties as required in support of the Division's public healthmission.
