Prep Cook at Eatn Park Hospitality Group – Annandale-On-Hudson, New York

This position has a $17.00 / hour base wage, paid days off, holiday pay, uniform cleaning, benefits, 401k, and a free meal per shift. This applies to all full-time employees working 35 hours a week. There is a $250 sign-on bonus. For shifts that go past 6:00PM, there is an evening pay differential.

JOB SUMMARY:

This person is responsible for properly preparing, cooking, baking, and storing food items that are prepared in advance to establish consistent yields and food quality. He/she shall prepare all food items and serve quality food to our guests in a friendly and helpful manner in accordance with Parkhurst Dining recipes, standards and procedures under strict sanitary conditions following ServSafe and HAACP guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the “batch” cooking method.
• Ensure the quality of the food produced and maintain the quality and quantity of food throughout the service period, utilizing production sheets.
• Cut, weigh, and prepare food items following company procedures and recipes. Follow exact portion specifications.
• Rotate refrigerated products and dry good products in accordance with company-approved policies and procedures, always using the FIFO method.
• Maintain the proper temperatures for all foods and coolers and freezers.
• Wrap, label, date and store all food items properly to maintain freshness and quality under strict sanitary guidelines.
• Complete product cooling charts.
• Always maintain a clean and neat appearance and practice proper personal hygiene.
• Frequently and correctly wash hands whenever possible.
• Complete daily production sheets.
• Distribute all products to proper areas of service.
• Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
• Follow cleaning schedules as provided by management, using the “clean as you go” technique.
• Assist fellow employees at every opportunity possible to ensure guests are always completely satisfied.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
• Assist in other kitchen areas when needed and asked by fellow employees and management.
