MyPoint is seeking a Controller for our corporate office. The person is responsible for the accounting operations of the credit union, to include assisting in the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, The Controller ensures the accuracy of the Credit Union’s reported results and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant state and federal credit union regulations. Additionally, the Controller plays a strategic role in leveraging financial technology, automation, and analytics to enhance financial performance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a CPA or CMA certification, or a master’s degree in accounting or finance, as well as a minimum of 8 years of related managerial experience in a financial institution, preferably in a credit union with knowledge of operations and information flow. Candidate must have experience in financial automation, data analytics, and KPI reporting, strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards, proficiency in automated financial reporting systems, ERP solutions, and dashboard analytics tools, expertise in risk management, internal controls, and compliance and advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communications skills with demonstrated ability to correspond with all levels of staff, members, and general public, strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities, and strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Symitar experience a plus.
