Warehouse Manager at L & J Transportation Companies Inc – Pottstown, Pennsylvania

You can effectively direct receiving, warehousing and distribution
operations. You will oversee the
efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide
variety of products. Ultimately, you
should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all
warehouse processes are running safely, damage free, smoothly and promptly.

· Overseeing, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by
initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel
policies and procedures.

· Overseeing warehouse and grounds maintenance; maintains physical
conditions by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting
equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacements.

· Implementing operational policies and procedures.

· Implementing and overseeing security operations.

· Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.

· Ensuring safety of staff.

· Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling and
disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

· Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and
reconciles.

· Scheduling and assigning crews and shipments inbound | outbound;
follow up on work results.

· Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.

· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

· Understanding of warehouse management procedures.

· Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

· Ability to operate forklift effectively.

· Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
