We are currently seeking Field Engineers to join our ever growing team at Landmark Construction!!! Position Description

1. Responsible for accurate layout of building location, structures and control for project
2. Work closely with Superintendent and Foreman of projects to ensure layout is meaningful and understood
3. Assist with concrete takeoffs
4. Ability to use a total station for layout
5. Ability to read construction drawings
6. Ability to setup rotating laser and or site level for checking elevations
7. Responsible for completing checks throughout project to ensure work is installed correctly and completing as-builts as needed
8. Maintains field notes and documentation generated by layout

Safety

1. Support and comply with company Health, Safety & Environmental Program, Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace, and Harassment Free Work Environment Program
2. Set yourself as an example and practice workplace safety; use all personal protective equipment required for the job
3. Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
4. Inspect the worksite daily to insure a safe work environment
5. Identify possible hazards with work tasks, tools, and work area - both above and below ground
6. Confirm that all underground utilities have been located each day
7. Report all accidents and incidents to project foreman and superintendent (regardless of how minor) as soon as possible
8. Responsible for accessible, clean & organized work site

Physical Requirements

1. Work involves sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time in various adverse weather conditions
2. Must be able to repeatedly lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds
3. Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information
4. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination
5. Numerical Aptitude- This position requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; adding and subtracting totals; multiplying and dividing.
6. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, safety glasses, hard hat with chin strap, reflective safety vest, gloves, ear protection, face shield, safety toe boots

Minimum Training and Experience

1. Minimum 2 years of construction experience or combination of education and experience is preferred
2. Knowledge of principals, methods and standards of the designated trade’s area
3. Experience in the use and methods of tools and equipment commonly employed with the trade
4. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
5. Performs work in accordance with standards and specifications
