IT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
We are looking for a highly motivated Information Technology (IT) Business Development Representative (BDR) who shares our commitment and believes in the value of communication and client interaction. As an IT BDR , you will:
- Generate leads and successfully sell our remote IT managed services and partner products to small and medium business markets independently in the Greater Chicago area;
- Follow up on sales leads through outbound campaigns;
- Qualify prospective clients IT infrastructure needs;
- Schedule and assist with presentations to prospects throughout the sales process;
- Contribute to and maintain the prospect database;
- Support marketing initiatives; and
- Attend local, regional, and virtual networking events.

IT Business Development Representative Responsibilities
- Execute outreach across multiple channels including phone, email, and LinkedIn, focusing on small to mid-market companies in the Greater Chicago area;
- Navigate gatekeepers and professionally counter common objections regarding IT budgets or existing vendor relationships;
- Conduct brief, high-impact discovery calls to identify and qualify immediate IT needs, such as dissatisfaction with current MSP providers or cybersecurity gaps;
- Use AI-powered tools and buyer intent signals to prioritize "warm" prospects likely to need Prescients remote IT MSP services and partner products; and
- Log all activities and maintain precise notes in a CRM tool such as Salesforce.
- Five plus years of experience with business to business sales in the Greater Chicago area;
- Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing;
- Experience selling within the IT services, managed services provider or SaaS industries;
- Experience using social media to prospect and market new business opportunities;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, contact database software, and web-based presentation applications;
- Member of multiple professional networks;
- Highly motivated, resilient, and self-starting;
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management, communication and professional presentation skills; and
