SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for general labor duties including maintaining the building and grounds for the facility as well as can delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsibility for general building maintenance
• Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness of facility including restrooms, storage areas, garages and grounds.
• Walks property to check for repairs
• Removes environmental hazards
• Parking lot maintenance - cleans and maintains a safe parking lot and outlying property.
• Maintains the ground foliage including grass, plants and trees. Mows grass, trims trees, weeds flower beds, edges borders, and cleans gutters as needed.
• Cart delivery
• Paints specified areas as determined

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
• Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Help maintain yard cleanliness and neatness of lumber materials.
• Pick orders, load and unload trucks (vendor and BGS) when directed.
• Assist customers in yard, shed or warehouse.
• Help forklift operators as directed.
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being stored or transported.
• When assigned to a truck, help the driver navigate to the job site and unload the truck at the job site.
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other employees to do the same.
• Assist with inventory and verify computations against physical count of stock.
• Other duties as requested directed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous lumber or building supplies experience strongly desired.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Experience using various third-party building supplier system applications desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The position could involve standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling and sitting for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposed to cold weather in the winter and hot weather in the summer.
