Role Summary
The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for day-to-day support of the Supply Chain operation. The core responsibility is to coordinate all shipments, including radioactive materials and non-dangerous goods, while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation for both domestic and international shipments. This role also involves maintaining inventory levels of shipping materials, assisting with receiving, and ensuring smooth material flow from warehouse to production labs to shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve 100% accuracy and timeliness on all scheduled orders each day
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international requirements for shipping radioactive and non-dangerous goods
- Resolve shipping department issues and develop proactive solutions to maintain high customer service levels
- Monitor logistics suppliers’ performance to meet company objectives and customer requirements
- Track customer orders to ensure adherence to schedules and provide timely updates
- Provide guidance on shipping rules, regulations, and delivery alternatives
- Prioritize and assign jobs to meet production, quality, safety, and shipping goals efficiently
- Assist employees in daily activities as required
- Implement continuous improvement projects and cost reduction opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Education
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience
- 2–3 years of related manufacturing shipping experience
- Experience with international shipping
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to set and manage priorities based on customer requirements
- Effective collaboration with other departments
- Knowledge of import/export requirements and practices for dangerous goods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of FAA regulations
- Basic understanding of shipment of dangerous goods
- Experience shipping dangerous goods outside the USA is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with overtime as required.
