Universal Community Banker II - Starting at $18.50 P/hr at First Commerce Bank – Jackson, New Jersey

Starting Salary: $18.50 per hour. (negotiable dependent upon experience)

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent with at least three years of bank teller cash handling experience.

Skill(s): Proficient in English, reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communication, interpersonal relations, and customer service skills; proficient PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, strong team player.

Experience: A minimum of (3) years of bank teller experience is required.

Essential Duties

1. Performs various duties to support the paying, receiving and relationship function of the branch office of which the following are illustrative:
   1. As a bank teller greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
   2. Identify, develop, expand, and manage consumer and business account relationships, concentrating efforts on meeting customer needs for financial products.
   3. Identify customers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to expand these relationships.
   4. As a bank teller addresses customer questions and concerns; refers to appropriate internal resources for resolution. Act with integrity, demonstrate adaptability, work commitment, and maintain a positive performance in all situations.
   5. Actively participate in bank teller ongoing training. Cross­-train to perform duties necessary to assist customers when management is not present.
   6. Assist with the daily operations of the branch including reporting, audits, ATMs, coin machines and the main cash vault.
   7. Assist in monthly branch audits including bank teller cash audits, vault cash audit, ATM audit, bank teller Recycling Machines audits.
   8. As a bank teller process a variety of routine and complex transactions including but not limited to account opening and closing, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and transfers.
   9. Position requires flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations/branches within your region and to adapt to schedule changes during the workday to include evenings and Saturdays or Sundays.
