About This Position
Responsible for leading the Logistics side of purchasing activities, supplier selection and order placement.
Essential Functions
Corporate:

- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures

- Consistently meets company safety goals
Technical:
- Monitors and troubleshoots U.S. Custom tariff issues and cooperate with Hyundai Transys to match HTS code and Certification of Origin.
- Respond to CF-28 (Request for Information) and CF-29 (Notice of Action) ruling request, analyze the reason for the CBP inquiry and gather necessary documentation to avoid potential penalties. If necessary, contact a customs expert to determine if the action should be accepted or if a protest should be filed.
- Manages USMCA Originating Value Affidavit Certificate every month and current Tariffs.
- Work closely with HQ Logistics Team.
- Responsible for selecting forwarding logistics vendor for equipment and other goods transportation.
- Select storage and warehousing vendors.
- Select vendors by considering price, schedule and delivery as well as past supplier performance.
- Negotiate terms and conditions including material price with vendors for New Projects
- Be able to write contracts.
- Communicate with all group leaders and team members concerning new projects.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education
- High School/GED
- 4 Year Bachelor Degree or comparable background of work related experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Finance

Position Requirements and Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing related experience (Automotive industry preferred)
- Knowledge of Purchasing guidelines and programs
- Knowledge of U.S. Custom regulations and recommendations
- Experience with Purchasing systems
- Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction
- Excellent oral communication and listening skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
