Operations Supervisor - Rigging - CLB at Electric Boat – Groton, Connecticut

The successful candidate must be able to manage the daily activities of (12-15) hourly riggers, providing daily direction and technical assistance. Must be able to manage crew safety, quality, cost and schedule performance within established goals, and promote and implement process improvement goals. Ensure employees are properly trained to perform their job assignments and ensure all applicable work procedures/documents are adhered to. Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written skills, as well as be able to interface with the customer and senior management. Candidate must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and be willing to travel as required.

• Be able to communicate orally and in writing with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Capable of reading, interpreting and implementing Lifting and Handling plans, procedures and instructions.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 3+ years of trades experience
• Current or past qualification as a Rigger, Crane Operator or experience as an Operations Supervisor plus familiar with Electric Boat Lifting and Handling policies and good work practices.
• Willing to work overtime as required.

Preferred

• 3 years of Rigging experience
• Knowledge of Electronic Desktop functions.
• Working Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lotus Notes.
