Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid/Remote)

The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and/or overseeing preparation of design documents, and project deliverables for industrial and agricultural projects, in a timely and technical-quality appropriate manner, which meets client, contractual and company requirements.
Your role:
- Perform high quality engineering services using sound analysis and design techniques based on applicable
- Efficiently use appropriate software to complete engineering design and provide clear and concise engineering direction to be included in the project deliverables.
- Understand scope, schedules and end-product needs for your role on each assigned
- Provide direction and distribute your work to technicians and Perform a quality review of your work.
- Review project documents for coordination with all
- Participate in internal coordination meetings and client coordination
- Prepare design/layout preliminary concepts and accurately communicate the
- Prepare and edit specifications, coordinate with Review shop drawings.
- Identify potential additional service items; assist in request for additional
- Provide weekly input on personnel scheduling; assist project manager with balanced weekly workload
- Support project manager in nurturing the client
- Assist in the training of new engineering staff and provide performance feedback as requested; other supervisory responsibilities as requested.
- Manage time based on project budget and
- Communicate with clients/contractors regarding RFI's and field
- Perform site visits during design phase to verify existing conditions and identify engineering and coordination
- Potential 10% travel to construction job
Your resume must include:
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (with emphasis in appropriate discipline for position)
- 5 -10 years engineering experience
- Prefer PE Certification
- Strong engineering analysis and judgment combined with a basic knowledge of applicable codes
- Experience with the design of engineering systems including steam, cooling/chilled and heating water, and compressed air.
- Experience with ASME piping and tank design standards and specifications.
- Understands hand methods for approximate engineering calculations
- Engineering software proficiency
- Specialty design and construction knowledge / experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other appropriate design software
- Preferred Working knowledge of AutoCad, Revit, Plant 3D
Starting Annual Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
