What You’ll Do

As a Clinician I, you will provide direct therapeutic services to adults experiencing homelessness and living with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Reporting to the Program Supervisor, you will ensure clients receive compassionate, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment and recovery plans, and regularly review and update progress in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in electronic health record systems (e.g., HMIS, ICANotes), ensuring fidelity to clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Clinical Services: Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation for clients with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Actively engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and supervision sessions to ensure coordinated, integrated, and effective service delivery.
  • Community Coordination: Assist with referrals and coordination of services with internal programs and external community partners to support client goals and continuity of care.
  • Quality of Care: Participate in case reviews, peer consultations, and performance improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of clinical care.
  • Supervision & Professional Development: Receive regular clinical supervision and incorporate feedback to strengthen clinical skills, documentation quality, and treatment planning.
  • Training Support: Assist in facilitating team discussions or informal trainings on trauma-informed care, documentation standards, and client engagement strategies.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT preferred).
  • Experience: Entry-level clinical experience in behavioral health, such as internships or supervised training; experience or strong interest in serving adults experiencing homelessness, serious mental illness, or co-occurring disorders preferred
  • Clinical Skills: Foundational skills in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems (HMIS, ICANotes, or similar).
  • Professional Attributes: Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills; ability to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
  • Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to Camillus House’s mission and values, with a passion for serving vulnerable and underserved populations.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional travel to community locations or client residences.
  • Work environment ranges from low to moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions may occur.
