Position Overview:
Zeeco is seeking a dynamic and high-potential Chartered Accountant with 34 years of post-qualification experience to join its Mumbai office as Assistant Manager Finance. This role is ideal for finance professionals from reputed EPC companies or multinational organizations who are looking to grow within a globally integrated engineering environment. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capability, and the ability to interact confidently with cross-functional and international stakeholders.

The role will be based at our Mumbai office (Kanjurmarg East) and will require periodic travel to our Wada plant facility.

This role operates in a fast-paced, globally connected, project-oriented environment. The Assistant Manager Finance will interact with senior leadership, business partners, plant operations, auditors, and international stakeholders where required.

The Mumbai office provides a professional and structured corporate setting, enabling exposure to global reporting standards, internal controls frameworks, and cross-border finance practices.

This position offers strong visibility, ownership of financial processes, and potential leadership development for candidates who demonstrate commercial acumen, stakeholder management ability, and strategic thinking.
Financial Reporting & Closing:
  • Lead month-end closing activities.
  • Review and analyze General Ledger balances and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
Procure to Pay & Operational Finance Oversight:
  • Lead month-end closing activities.
  • Review and analyze General Ledger balances and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
Audit & Compliance:
  • Drive Statutory Audit and ensure timely closure.
  • Maintain documentation and records for financial statements and regulatory compliance.
  • Define, implement, and assess Internal Controls in line with ICoFR requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Banking regulations, Direct Taxation, and GST.
Planning & Business Partnership:
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Collaborate with business teams to provide financial insights.
  • Assist senior management in strategic financial decision-making.
Systems & Process Excellence:
  • Work extensively on ERP system SAGE X3.
  • Ensure financial system integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (First Class) - Mandatory
  • Chartered Accountant with 34 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience in project-based organizations preferred
  • Experience in reputed EPC companies or multinational organizations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and compliance
  • Experience working on ERP systems (SAGE X3 preferred)
  • Advanced MS Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated potential leadership capability
  • Ability to interact confidently with global stakeholders
