Digital Media Specialist at Opportunity Enterprises Inc – Valparaiso, Indiana

JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Media Specialist is involved in the communication and marketing efforts for each division of Opportunity Enterprises. This position plans, creates, executes social media and digital communication activities for the organization including video and website actions.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regularly visit all OE departments, programs, and events to take photos and videos of OE clients, donors, and staff.
• Create, edit photos and videos to prepare them for sharing through multiple channels.
• Manage multiple social media platforms for each of OE's divisions.
• Develop and execute social media and digital communication plans for many divisions of OE.
• Implement advertising plans according to agreed-upon schedules, budgets, channels, and other parameters, including tracking expenses to budgets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with social media followers through liking, sharing, and commenting on activities on the full suite of social media platforms.
• Concurrently manage tasks, priorities, multiple accounts, and deadlines.
• Maintain and update lobby slides in multiple locations to ensure timeliness of information.
• Create messaging and update organization’s marquee to support agency priorities.
• Maintain and update oppent.org and all OE division websites, including developing new sites and/or pages as needed.
• Serve as subject matter expert on SEO, continuously monitoring and adapting to evolving search trends and platform updates.
• Create digital graphic designs as needed.
• Serve as marketing lead for various OE divisions as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
• Prepare monthly reports of website (Google Analytics), Google Ads, QR Codes, Form Usage, Client Reports, social media metrics, advertising spend, and any additional metrics determined to measure effectiveness of marketing efforts. etc.
• Track all marketing activities by division including, but not limited to, social posts, digital advertising, web changes, etc.
• Track project time spent on various divisions using time tracking software.
• Lead and/or assist in the creation of e-mail campaigns and other ongoing communications and execute according to plan.
• Ensure all email marketing lists remain current by regularly integrating Client Enrollment Forms and monitoring staff transitions.
• Manage Google/Meta Ads and Google/Meta accounts for organizational divisions.
• Build and send Monthly Newsletter via email marketing platform.
• All other duties as requested by the Senior Director of Development and Marketing and Director of Marketing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in related field required or 1-3 years of experience in corporate communications, publications, or related experience required.
