- Master's degree in the discipline or subfield in which they are applying to teach. Applicant must have completed a program of study in the discipline or subfield in which they teach, with coursework at least one level above that of the courses being taught or developed (e.g., completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach or tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to the degree).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, particularly community college experience.
- Experience with learner centered instructional practices.
- Experience differentiating instruction for a multi-level classroom
- Demonstrated experience in remote delivery of instruction.
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understand of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
