YOUR NEW ROLE AS A BUYING AND PURCHASING ASSISTANT
This is a full-time position.
In this Buying and Purchasing Assistant role, you will assist in buying and maintaining inventory in accordance with company and departmental goals. Each day, you will monitor key purchasing reports such as Daily Fill Rate, Open Backorders, Stock Inventory On-Hand, and Orders Not Invoicing. You will compile monthly reporting for Buyers and Senior Buyers, and you will proactively follow up with internal and external teams to resolve issues such as delinquent or backordered items. You will place purchase orders while reviewing cost accuracy, freight, and other charges, and you will review strategic substitutions to confirm compliance. You will also work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to manage vendor lines and support other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong business math, communication, and analytical skills as well as
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects to timely, accurate completion in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships
- Physical ability to stand, walk, speak, hear, sit, use hands or fingers for data entry, and lift up to 25 pounds
Experience in retail, warehouse, or logistics is a plus. Associate to Specialist level employees with one or more years of industry experience are preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI, or Dynamics 365 is also a plus. Entry-level candidates with no experience are welcome!
