This role is ideal for an experienced attorney who thrives at the intersection of product innovation and regulatory compliance. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to identify and manage legal risks throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Your guidance will ensure that products are designed in a compliant, scalable, and user-friendly way while supporting strategic growth initiatives. You will advise on regulatory requirements, product positioning, marketing communications, and third-party integrations, translating complex healthcare and consumer protection laws into actionable guidance. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-growth, collaborative environment, solving novel legal challenges while directly impacting access to critical healthcare solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how products are delivered safely and compliantly to millions of users.
Accountabilities:- Provide legal counsel on product development, advising on feature design, user flows, onboarding experiences, and workflow compliance
- Assess regulatory and legal risks associated with new products, features, and partnerships
- Ensure marketing, website content, and in-product messaging are accurate, substantiated, and compliant with healthcare and consumer protection laws
- Support go-to-market strategies, including drafting disclosures, reviewing consent mechanisms, and advising on customer-facing terms
- Advise on third-party integrations with pharmacies, PBMs, payers, and other partners, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Growth, and other teams to execute strategic initiatives and commercial agreements
- Manage ad hoc legal projects, helping to define your role as the business and legal team grow
Requirements:
- JD with excellent academic credentials and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
- 5+ years of relevant experience in top law firms, governmental agencies, and/or in-house legal departments
- Experience advising on product development in regulated environments, preferably healthcare or health-tech
- Strong ability to assess product risk, translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance, and support go-to-market strategies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
- Practical business judgment with a focus on compliant innovation
- Preferred: experience with the pharmaceutical supply chain, HIPAA, and health-tech regulatory frameworks
- Fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States
