About This Position

General Manager

Reports To: VP Operations

Job Summary:

The general manager is responsible for oversight of day to day store operations, including improving profitability, supervising District managers, Store managers, recruiting employees and ensuring each location is following operating procedures. The general manager is responsible for the profitability of assigned stores and all controllable expenses.

List of Responsibilities

  • Hire Store Managers, positive individuals, to become members of the Quicklee Team, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Set Store goal hours with District Managers and Store Mangers based on sales reports and hours of operation.
  • Assist Store Managers with hiring employees and employee performance reviews.
  • Assist store managers with a variety of items including technical issues, daily paperwork, and staffing issues.
  • Train, motivate, encourage, and challenge district managers and store managers.
  • Ensure customer complaints that cannot be resolved by a store manager in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner. Report findings as needed to General Manager of Merchandising.
  • Maintain quality brand image.
  • Present policy changes during scheduled manager meetings
  • Have the physical ability and willingness to travel.
  • Be able to perform all of the duties of a store manager in his/her absence.
  • Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
  • Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations
  • Implement scheduled promotions, insure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
  • Enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures. Reports issues to General Manager of Merchandising as needed.
  • Manage car wash promotions and employee education.
  • Assists store managers with third party inventories to reduce waste and loss.
  • Enforce all safety and security issues and report any and all unsafe conditions.
  • Conduct regular safety and security meeting and document with employees attending signatures.
  • Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.
  • Laying out action plans with District Managers and Store Managers for fiscal year goals.
  • Works with VP of Operations to manage maintenance department and coordinate repairs.
  • Establish, train and with Store Managers enforces tobacco and alcohol policies/Charts stings.

Education / Experience: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) recommended.
