About This Position

Description:

Burial Beer Co. is seeking a reliable and dedicated Dishwasher to join our team at our Forestry Camp Taproom location. Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning dishes to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Duties include prioritizing loads of different types of kitchenware, hand-washing certain items, operating the dishwasher, and organizing clean items for drying and storage. Successful candidates in this role are team-oriented, adaptable to shifting priorities, and able to communicate effectively with coworkers. This position requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with kitchen standards
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Safely and efficiently operates dish washing machine
  • Ensures proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing
  • Removes from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken
  • Helps stock delivered food and non-food items
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all coworkers
  • Support other functions as assigned including but not limited to: Prep work; taking trash and recycling to dumpster area; washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors; coverage of sick/vacation days of other staff members

  • Adjusts quickly to changing service demands, pace shifts, and special events while anticipating needs, seeking clarification when necessary, and responding to challenges with flexibility and composure.
  • Demonstrates awareness of safety and operational standards by identifying damaged items and removing them from service while properly operating dishwashing equipment and chemicals.
  • Maintains sanitary conditions for dishes, equipment, and work areas while consistently following kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates dependable attendance, punctuality, and consistent follow through to support steady kitchen operations.
  • Completes tasks promptly and with attention to detail to help maintain an organized workflow and keep kitchen operations moving smoothly.
  • Builds positive connections with coworkers, FOH staff, and other departments while communicating clearly and contributing to a respectful, collaborative team environment.
  • Provides consistent support across kitchen and facility functions such as prep, stocking, cleaning, and waste management to help maintain an efficient and well organized workspace.
  • Upholds Burial’s standards with honesty, accountability, and consistency.
  • Models professionalism in both work output and interpersonal interactions, reflecting the company’s core values daily
Requirements:

Who We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year of relative experience preferred
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Willingness to work mornings, nights, and weekend

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves
  • Able to work in hot and damp environments and tight work spaces

  • Reports To: Kitchen Manager
  • Compensation: $21 per hour
  • Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly
  • Job Schedule: work schedule varies
