About StrongMind

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.

We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.

The Team You Will Join

You’ll be part of the Marketing team, working closely with Enrollment, Academics, Operations, and School Leadership to bring StrongMind’s mission to life through in-person experiences.

This team is responsible for driving awareness, engagement, and enrollment through compelling storytelling, strategic campaigns, and meaningful community presence. Events play a critical role in how families experience our school—often serving as the first touchpoint in their journey.

The team culture is collaborative, fast-moving, and mission-driven. You’ll have opportunities to influence strategy, build scalable processes, and create memorable experiences that directly support student growth and school success.

The Difference You Will Make

In this role, your work will directly impact students and families by creating welcoming, well-organized, and high-impact events that build trust, spark interest, and drive enrollment.

You’ll help strengthen community relationships, generate qualified enrollment leads, and elevate the quality and consistency of our school’s event presence—both externally in the community and internally within the school.

Your work will be highly visible and deeply connected to outcomes that matter.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

  • Plan, coordinate, and attend community events, festivals, school fairs, and outreach opportunities
  • Lead execution of internal school events such as graduations, open houses, and family information nights
  • Manage street team staff and volunteers during field-based events
  • Capture, track, and report on event-generated leads using approved tools and processes
  • Coordinate logistics including venues, vendors, permits, contracts, and schedules
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Enrollment, Academics, and Operations
  • Track budgets, manage inventory, and maintain organized documentation and shared calendars

This role balances hands-on execution, independent work, and cross-functional collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building systems, and being out in the community representing a mission-driven organization.

Your Expertise Includes

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, or community outreach
  • Proven experience generating leads from in-person events
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and CRM or lead-tracking tools
  • Basic competency using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support event promotion, messaging drafts, social captions, outreach ideas, and workflow efficiency
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
  • Ability to safely lift and transport up to 50 lbs. for event setup and breakdown, including tents, signage, and promotional swag.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience in K–12 education, alternative education, or online schools
  • Experience managing street teams, ambassadors, or field marketing staff
  • Familiarity with enrollment funnels, lead attribution, and ROI tracking
  • Budget management experience
  • A clean driving record and ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card

How We'll Take Care of You

Our commitment to you includes:

  • A competitive total compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits
  • Well-being that works for real life—from an on-site gym, virtual wellness programs, and wellness coaching to flexible work options for select roles, because your well-being fuels your brilliance
  • Unlimited PTO for exempt roles, plus additional “life happens” days when you need flexibility
  • A fully paid holiday week off at Christmas, so you can truly rest, reset, and reconnect
  • Recognition and rewards that celebrate birthdays, meaningful milestones, legendary work, and community service hours that let you give back
  • Quarterly Town Halls that keep communication transparent, honest, and human
  • Annual social events and traditions we genuinely look forward to—like Halloween celebrations, Wellness Fairs, and other moments that bring our community together

We’re intentional about building a workplace where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive—at work and beyond.
