Position Overview:

Composites One is seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft 365 Lead Administrator to drive the design, implementation, and governance of our modern workplace solutions. This role will lead the architecture, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment to support a global employee base, ensuring both efficiency and security. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Microsoft 365 expert with experience in end-user computing, identity and access management, and implementing innovative solutions such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead the design of secure, scalable Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, InTune, and Power Platform.
  • Develop strategies and roadmaps for end-user productivity solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Architect and oversee projects, including acquisitions, data migrations, and technology implementations.
  • Implement new features and AI solutions, driving adoption and efficiency.

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cloud governance policies for security, compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Implement robust security measures leveraging Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, MFA, and conditional access policies.
  • Define and manage identity and access management strategies.

Implementation & Technical Guidance

  • Serve as technical design authority for project teams, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Use PowerShell and automation tools to streamline M365 deployment, management, and administration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and runbooks.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

  • Monitor the M365 environment for performance, security, and compliance.
  • Manage licenses and provide guidance on cost optimization and resource allocation.

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology.

  • Minimum of 5 years as a hands-on administrator of Microsoft solutions, including Outlook, Office, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, with at least 3 years in an environment with 500+ end users.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft Active Directory or Entra.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Entra ID Pro
  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including M365 workloads (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint), InTune, GCP, and Azure services (IaaS, PaaS).

  • Expert-level skills supporting and administering the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive).

  • Expert-level skills supporting and administering Microsoft Entra ID, InTune, and related Azure services.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Experience with Azure tenants and Azure platform administration.

Work Location & Schedule:

  • This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in Schaumburg, IL. The expectation for this role is to work onsite three (3) days per week and remotely two (2) days per week.

Travel:

  • Up to 10% travel to our distribution centers, as needed.

    Pre-Employment Requirement:

    • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check. This requirement is especially critical for safety-sensitive roles.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
