Floor Tech in Southport, North Carolina at J Arthur Dosher Memorial Hospital

Cleans and services all areas of hospital to include all off-site facilities, where light and heavy housekeeping duties are required, according to procedure. Moves furniture and equipment around departments and performs a variety of services to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition

Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):

• Responsible for all heavy duty floor maintenance: mopping, sweeping, applications of floor finishes, and polishes. Strip floors of wax as required. Always use wet floor signs when cleaning floors to alert others of unsafe conditions
• Responsible for the upkeep of carpet: shampooing and spot cleaning when necessary
• Vacuum carpeted hallways, dust high fixtures, and vacuum vent grills
• Assist with removing all soiled linens from using areas
• Assist with collecting all waste from hospital daily. Wash and reline trash containers
• Maintain all heavy duty equipment used in performing duties. Report all equipment in need of repair to Director.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
