Machine Operator, Press

Elmet Technologies is a leading producer of the high-performance metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum and niobium.

We are currently sourcing candidates for a Machine Operator for our Pressing department in our Euclid, OH facility. This person will be responsible for the operation and adjustment of mechanical or hydraulic presses.

This is a 3rd shift position, hours are 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.

Job responsibilities also include, but not limited to:

• Starts machine and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Weigh metal powders to meet engineering requirements.
• Operates machine to produce quality product while ensuring quality is being maintained in accordance with customer specifications.
• Visually inspect parts for defects
• Load parts for furnace operation.
• Process product in a timely fashion as set by work standards for each specific job or piece of equipment, while maintaining safe work practices at all times.
• Measure and interpret product dimensions and conditions using simple tools as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
• Operate and adjust hydraulic press to produce powder compacts.
• Utilize measuring devices to ensure compacts meet engineering specifications.

Qualifications:

• Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
• One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
