Plant & Shop Helper at CORPORATE COVERAGE COMPANY – San Antonio, Texas

The Plant & Shop Helper plays a vital role in daily operations within the plant environment. This position involves assisting with production, material handling, and general labor tasks. Additionally, basic welding may be required.

Candidates for this role must be reliable, safety-conscious, and prepared to work both indoors and outdoors year-round, regardless of varying weather conditions.

• Assist with plant and shop production tasks, including loading/unloading materials and supporting machine operators
• Perform general shop duties such as cutting, prepping, fitting, and assembling materials
• Complete basic welding tasks (tack welds, small repairs, simple fabrication) as assigned
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in the plant and shop
• Move, lift, and stage materials using hand tools or equipment (forklift or pallet jack if certified)
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning equipment and organizing materials
• Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE at all times
• Support inventory tracking, restocking, and material preparation for the production run
• Work outdoors year-round as required to support plant operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a plant, shop, or industrial environment preferred.
• Forklift Experience / Loader preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of welding experience (MIG, stick, or other applicable processes).
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required to perform the essential functions of this role.
• Ability to read basic measurements and use hand/power tools.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures.
